Ordering information
The function of the timing belt is considerably influenced by the quality of the synchronous pulleys. For this reason we recommend the user of BRECO®, BRECOFLEX® and CONTI® SYNCHROFLEX polyurethane timing belts to purchase the attendant synchronous pulley exclusively from Mulco sales partners to guarantee their safe and reliable function.
The production of synchronising pulleys is subject to a constant quality control. Generally, the synchronising pulleys are hobbed. A perfect function of the overall system is guaranteed by the function defined tuning control of all geometrical data, the tooth gap geometry, the shape and position tolerances.
The material and the dimensions of the synchronising pulleys, e.g. number of teeth, pulley width, bore holes and arrangement of flanges are stated by the customer. In the following please find information for the planner and designer.
Materials
Aluminium: For normal requirements we recommend the light metal alloy AlCuMgPbF34, material number 3.1645, according to Euro Directive AW-2007. This material is also used for the production of synchronising pulleys held in stock.
Steel: For more load of the pulley to shaft coupling we recommend steel as material.
Please select:
C 45+C, material number 1.0503 (old designation C45)
S355J0+C, material number 1.0553 (old designation St52-3)
11SMn30+C, material number 1.0715 (old designation 9S20)
Further materials: If requested, all other commercial materials can be used, e. g. stainless steel, brass, plastics materials etc.
Flanges: Zinc plated steel is used as the standard material. Special versions are to be defined by the user. Mounting is achieved by flaring, rolling or bolding the flange, depending on the tooth profile and number of teeth used.
Tolerances
The boring is made in H7, if there are no other requirements.
All not toleranted dimensions are manufactured according to DIN 7168m and ISO 2768.
The tolerances of the flange outer diameter amounts to ± 0.15mm.
